Alex Mitchell is a singer, songwriter, poet and writer, best known for being the front-man for Circus Of Power, with whom he recorded four albums.
Prior to founding Circus of Power in 1986, Alex was a member of Saint Mary's Children of Salvation and Crucial Truth.
Post-COP, Alex has been part of the bands Absolutely Free & Uncle Max's Cosmic Band, who released the album "Licking The Toad In The Black Church" in 2003.
Other projects included Second Ring Of Power, Plastic Gator Machine, with whom he recorded the "Rock'n'Soul Music" album in 2003 and Fat Nancy.
Fat Nancy recorded their "Pure American Muscle Baby" album in 2005, and released it via Hallucinating Gator Records.
As well as all this activity, Mitchell found the time somehow to record a solo cd called "The Showbiz Al EP", which was only available at Fat Nancy gigs.
Circus Of Power reunited in 2006 for a series of low key reformation gigs which has since led to a more permanent reunion.
The band are rumored to be preparing a new album for a 2008 release.
